About

Michael Shah Jahan

Mathematician Michael Shah Jahan’s career journey has been defined by disciplined execution, strategic thinking and a deep appreciation of systematic reasoning and philosophy. Now retired, he continues to apply his insights to his intellectual pursuits and personal investments, while his legacy will long inspire those who seek to understand the world through strategy, logic and vision. He also gives back to society by investing his expertise and time into coaching others.

Having spent part of his career in finance, Michael moved to the world of private investment and subsequently into the field of venture capital entrepreneurship. Prior to retiring he worked developing trading software with a specialist software company, bringing to bear his comprehensive understanding of finance, mathematics and technology to optimise trading strategies.

From an early age, Michael has nurtured a ‘trained to win’ mindset. Playing football in his teenage years, he developed the skills in resilience and teamwork that would be foundational in his future career. Later, he also learned the importance of strategic execution, endurance and mental tenacity.

To relax, Michael enjoys reading, walking, and watching football matches – his favourite teams are Ajax and Real Madrid. He continues to study mathematics, economics, philosophy, politics, physics, financial markets, computer technology, blockchain and cryptocurrencies. In terms of philosophy, Michael is inspired by influential mathematicians and figures – including Winston Churchill and Fibonacci – to cultivate a perspective that fuses logic, history and strategic foresight. He describes himself as a master strategist, able to use his intellect and wide-ranging experiences to drive results, seize opportunities and navigate complex systems.
